BIO

"Breve videostoria di (quasi) tutto" is a webserie of 27 episodes conceived, produced and launched during the Covid lockdown — a museum experience entirely reimagined for the digital space, and one of the most innovative experiments in cultural communication produced by an Italian institution.

PROJECT

Born in 2020 during the lockdown of the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Rome, "Breve videostoria di (quasi) tutto" resisted every definition from the start — webserie, film, exhibition, deck of cards, alphabet. Works, images and guests alternate across the rooms of the museum, each episode a different sala, each sala a different theme. The digital space became the exhibition space: a place where the visitor could pause, rewind, move freely between episodes, composing a personal and unrepeatable experience of the collection. The works were always the centre — the irreducible remainder, the thing that remained. Nine protagonists from the worlds of science, culture and the arts guided each chapter: Enrico Alleva, Cristina Bowerman, Stefano Catucci, Paolo Crimaldi, Marco Faccini, Michela Murgia, Filippo Nigro, Monica Sgandurra and Mario Tozzi — each in dialogue with the works, the rooms and the ideas the Galleria holds. The project's success generated two further seasons, produced in partnership with YouTube and Google Arts & Culture, confirming "Breve videostoria di (quasi) tutto" as one of the most significant and widely recognised experiments in digital cultural communication produced by an Italian museum.
