BIO

The Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, with a collection encompassing some 20,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, design objects, films and photographs – including some of the masterpieces of the last two centuries – is a complete representation of artistic culture from the 1800s to the present day.

PROJECT

Eight years building the digital identity of one of the most important and beautiful museums in the world. A presence that meant redefining what communication for a cultural institution could be on an international scale: anticipating trends rather than chasing them, bringing art to platforms where it had never been, holding a voice consistent with the audiences, the institutional identity and the channels. The digital work spanned five versions of lagallerianazionale.com over eight years — each one a response to a different moment in the museum's life and the digital landscape — and a presence across ten simultaneous platforms, from Instagram to Spotify, from WeChat to TikTok — being the first museum in Europe to join both channels — with over 15,000 pieces of content produced. Advertising campaigns were managed with precise goals, rigorous budgets and accurate reporting. Alongside the daily operations, some projects defined entirely new territory: webseries, Metaverse experiences, NFT projects, a long-term feminist research programme, a sustainability and decarbonisation communication programme. Formats conceived from scratch, with a creative direction that started from the institution and reached audiences that museums traditionally do not. The remit included coordinating external press offices, the communication campaign for the 8-year final report, and an ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, alongside museums, institutions and artists. Active participation in the production of approximately ninety temporary exhibitions, with a role that extended well beyond communication. Supervising and mentoring junior team members and coordinating across internal departments were part of the daily scope. Over the years, partnerships with Google, Dior, Sky, TikTok, YouTube, Ferrero, la Caixa, CONI and Edra were built as cultural collaborations, each coherent with the institutional identity of the museum.
